Brenda Salley, PhD

Dr. Brenda Salley is an assistant professor of Pediatrics KUMC and at Children’s Mercy Hospital/University of Kansas City-Missouri. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the director of the Baby Lab at KUMC and Children’s Mercy. She completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology at Virginia Tech and her clinical internship at Brown University with a focus on neurodevelopmental disabilities and early evaluation of autism. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in translational research for intellectual and developmental disabilities at the KU Schiefelbusch Institute for Life Span Studies.


Dr. Salley's clinical expertise centers on evaluation of very young children for developmental and social-emotional concerns (autism and mental health) and her research focuses on social attention, social communication, and language in early childhood.
